In 2011, our organization is going to join a project named International Year of Forests.
This project is a global platform to celebrate people’s action to sustainably manage the world’s forests. The United Nations General Assembly declared 2011 as the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.
The hall there also ran an exhibition of paintings of African artists associated with a benefit sale.

Participant s of the exhibition in Bayreuth, Germany talked about our organization in Philanthropy Project. This global organization supports World’s Green Lungs - the green lungs of the world in their actions in saving the African rainforest, restoring agriculture and timber processing to the needs of the population.
On 1 - 5 October we attended the 9th European Geoparks Conference 2010. The World’s Green Lungs reprezented with Martina Pásková performed a presentation on the theme Ecotourism and Geotourism as an Instrument of Biodiversity and Geodiversity Interpretation. Case Study: Katako Kombe (Maniema Province).
On 13 and 14 September, we participated in the second annual conference Good practice in sustainable tourism . World’s Green Lungs organization appeared with a contribution to the theme Ecotourism in the province of Maniema.
On the conference were held as an accompanying program an exhibition of photographs and a minor geological exhibition.
On 8 November 2010 we organize an expert workshop named Real state of forest burning and the possibility of their restoration in central Africa.
The main program will be discussion on the issue of rehabilitation of devastated forests combined with an exhibition of photographs from Kindu Expedition 2010 – The earth in Africa is crying. The workshop will be held in Prague’s Wenceslas Square 31, from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. Admission is voluntary with a possibility of adoption tree - CZK 300, the planting areas in the province of Maniema.
October 2010 - Centre for Contemporary Art DOX prepared in terms of an exhibition performance FUTURE FUTURE atwelve-hours performance of various disciplines, named 12 hours of future.
Participants and representatives of leading branches responded to specific questions about contemporary society. Individual performances contained of 12-minute presentations. The program consisted of eight subjects. František Nekovář, founder of the World Green Lungs project, answered under the theme „Environmental challenges“ to the question: „Climate change and what individuals can do?“.
On Monday, August 30, 2010 the English version of this website was launched.

Mr. Ladislav Miko, former Minister of Environment of the Czech Republic, who is currently again working as the director of conservation at the General Directorate for Environment of the European Commission in Brussels, met on July 14, 2010 in Brussels with Mr. František Nekovář, president of the ONG World’s Green Lungs, and Ms. Martina Pásková from the Department of Environmental Policy of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic.
